What this site collects

PercCheck does not require an account and does not collect personal information to show you a county's septic-suitability data. Like almost every website, the hosting and analytics infrastructure automatically logs standard technical data - your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and timestamps - for security and aggregate traffic measurement. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify you individually.

Cookies

Analytics cookies may be set to distinguish repeat visits from new ones. No cookie on this site is used to build an advertising profile unless a display-advertising network is active, in which case that network's own cookie and privacy disclosures apply and are linked from this page once live.

PercCheck earns money from display advertising served by Google AdSense.

Your rights and how to use them

California's CCPA/CPRA, the EU/UK's GDPR, and a growing list of other US states give you rights over personal data collected about you: to know what's held, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising. PercCheck has no accounts and no user profiles, so there is no personal data tied to a name or email address to look up. What could exist is the technical log data described above and, while AdSense is active, the ad-personalization data Google's own cookie sets independently of this site.

To ask what's held, request deletion of anything that can be tied to you, or opt out of ad personalization on this site, email contact@perccheck.com - that reaches the person who runs this site directly, and requests are honored on request rather than through an automated form. You can also turn off personalized ads directly at Google's Ad Center, which controls AdSense's cookie independently of this site.
